Kathy is a Senior Prajna Yoga Teacher and brings her 20 yrs of bodywork and knowledge of anatomy into her classes. Kathy’s Thai Massage & Thai Foot Massage blends traditional Thai Massage with Thai Foot Massage is an experience that leaves you feeling relaxed, lengthened, stretched and balanced to move in your body in a more Holistic way. She uses heated Thai Herbal Packs to reduce inflammation, soothe tension and bring a sense of calm over the body.
Working with your feet helps to create more grounded and balanced sessions for clients. It also allows the therapist to work in a more relaxed state, and reduces stress and muscle tension. When the therapist is relaxed and is working from the core, the client responds more positively, and the process of self healing is encouraged.
Sound Healing is an effective and proven modality that uses vibrational sound to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace, well being and better health. Sound has also been shown to be a vital part of the healing process for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and side effects especially for pain relief management.
During our waking state, the normal frequency of our brain waves is that of Beta. Sound tools entrain the brain to move into the deeper Alpha and Theta brain wave frequencies. These are the frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind and intuition as well as allowing you to drop in to the Parasympathetic Nervous System where we “rest & digest” and do all of our healing. Meditation can be an essential part of beginning your day. When we “Empty before you begin”, you allow the citta or mind chatter to settle. This emptying, allows you to focus, and begin your day with clarity and a deep calm.
With meditation, the physiology undergoes a change and every cell in the body is filled with more prana (energy). This results in joy, peace, and enthusiasm as the level of prana in the body increases.
We will practice seated silent meditation as well as Walking Meditation to bring mindfulness into every day life. Silent seated meditation to helps students to “drop in,” reflect and quiet the mind. Silent meditation and the practice of Dhyana Yoga (sustained, unbroken practice) helps one develop “staying power” both on and off the mat.

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga
In a SUP Yoga class, the teacher will lead students through a series of yoga postures on the stand-up paddle board, each posture with modifications for the student’s level of experience. On boards, students can feel how the alignment and actions of the yoga poses create balance, as when we are not balanced, the board will wobble, and you may even tip over, and enjoy a dip in the water!
