Kathy offers Private Yoga Sessions in your home or via Skype to deepen your home practice and allow the teacher/student relationship to gain trust and clarity. A private session allows you to have the entire attention of your teacher addressing your individual needs.
You may benefit from the specific instruction for your body’s needs to help your yoga practice to move forward or focusing on one specific issue you would like to improve. You may also talk about how you can improve your practice, be consistent, and grow as a yoga practitioner. “It takes water, sun, nourishment and tending for your garden to grow.” ~ Kathy Albers
The benefits of a Private Yoga Session allows you to be very specific with your healing needs. You can focus on healing a past injury, a pose that you may have difficulty with, an area of your body that just feels stuck, releasing the mind chatter or just having the attention of a one on one relationship with your teacher.
Private Yoga can also aid in growing your personal yoga practice and keep you connected to a deeper sense of what your body needs. Our bodies need different practices for the seasons, the time of life, as we age, injuries and emotions.

Classes are all levels and provide challenge for experienced students and modifications for those requiring more support. In these classes, Kathy’s 20 yrs of Bodywork and knowledge of anatomy allows her to guide you in a safe, informed manner allowing you to focus on unraveling the pose and going to a place deep within. Yoga for Injury Recovery
Yoga For Recovery is a blend of Restorative Yoga poses, Myofascial Release or self massage techniques, body wisdom, and Somatic Awareness techniques as well as addressing the specific needs of each individual. It helps each person to design a home practice of self care that is needed to release the daily stresses and challenges of life as well as help speed up recovery of injuries. This class builds strength, balance, a deep calm and a “Full Body Awareness.”
Yoga props such as blocks, bolsters, chairs, the wall, straps, and blankets will be used to support the body in each pose to access allow the body to open up into each pose. Using the breath to soften into the asana and having courage to try something new will bring the body to a place of deep relief. We have many “Aha moments” in this practice.
Chair Yoga is for beginner through advanced practitioners. We utilize a chair to aid in stability, balance, deeper openings and for a better sense of being grounded in the poses. Frequently the chair yoga student is unable to participate in a traditional yoga class due to the effects of aging or disabilities. However, Chair yoga is a great practice for everyone, as it deepens flexibility and strengthens personal body awareness.
Most people in chair yoga classes have health issues, and many are there because a health care professional that knows about their problems recommended it. A good chair yoga teacher will ask about, and be aware of any limitations the student might have. Chair yoga has helped people with the symptoms of many health issues including: hypertension (high blood pressure), anxiety, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, vertigo (medical), multiple sclerosis, Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, carpal tunnel syndrome, clinical depression, and chronic pain.
